Train services hit by rake crisis


KOLKATA: Train services between Howrah, Santragachhi, Shalimar and western and southern India are limping back to normal but disruption continues due to the non-availability of adequate rakes.

South Eastern Railway (SER) has cancelled a few trains and rescheduled some others while Down ones are running through diverted routes. It may take a couple of more days for the situation to normalize, officials believe.
