Tender to turn Habibganj into world class station by September end

BHOPAL: Railways will be inviting bids to developing Habibganj railway station into a world class station by end of this month. Recently a meeting between Indian Railway Station Development Corporation (IRSDC) and railway officials in this regards.

Habibganj is among five stations that have been identified for re-development involving modernisation and upgrade of passenger amenities. Others are Chandigarh, Anand Vihar and Brijwasan (both in Delhi), and Shivaji Nagar (Pune). Announcement for the same was made in rail budget previously.

Development and upgrade of railway stations across the country will be taken up under an agreement between Railway Land Development Authority (RLDA) with IRSDC. More info
