Surf internet at state’s 22 railway stations soon


JAIPUR: Here is some good news for those rail travellers who frequently use internet and carry data cards on the go. The rail ministry has given nod to Wi-Fi-enabled AI and A class train stations and in 22 Rajasthan’s stations fall in these categories.

The nodal company-Railtel-has already enabled Wi-Fi at Bangalore railway station and the work of connecting other stations including 22 in the state is in progress.

RailWire, the retail broadband distribution model of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd, a PSU of the Ministry of Railways, is the powering engine for distributing internet bandwidth through Wi-Fi. More info
