Pune commuter groups want more trains to destinations in the north

PUNE: City based commuter groups have urged rail administration to operate additional trains and increase frequency of existing trains to various destinations in northern parts of the country.

A delegation of Uttar Bharatiya Vikas Parishad, Maharashtra recently met general manger of Central Railway S K Sood and presented a memorandum of demands. Sood was on one day visit to the Pune division to inspect ongoing works.

The organization in its memorandum has demanded two additional trains to Agra and Ayodhya besides increase in frequency of Pune-Lucknow and Yeshvantpur-Nizamuddin express trains. A demand also has been raised to augment additional coaches to trains to clear rush of passengers in the holiday season. More info
