Pay Rs 460, Travel from Delhi to Agra by Gatimaan Exp

CHENNAI: The Railways has announced the fare structure for the first semi high-speed train between New Delhi and Agra, ‘Gatimaan Express.’

According to a circular, AC chair car ticket will cost Rs 460, while the Executive class is Rs 1050. All other miscellaneous charges like reservation fee, superfast charge, catering charge, service tax will be levied additionally as applicable.

Currently the fare for Shatabdi Express between these stations is Rs 1000 and Rs 505, inclusive of all charges.

The fare structure for the trains, which run at 160 kilometre per hour covering the distance of 188 kilometres in around an hour and 15 minutes, will be known as Gatimaan fare and will be reviewed after six months.

However, according to the circular statement, children aged between five and 12 will be charged according to the existing fare structures of the Shatabdi Express,

Though the exact date of flagging off of the train is not clear, Railway  Board chairman Arunendra Kumar told a news agency that it would be before November 30.

A few trial runs were conducted a few months back on the route by the Indian Railways. More info
