NEW DELHI: The road transport ministry will soon approve the proposal to build the country’s first ‘Metro Mail’ project between Delhi and Manesar on NH-8.

Road transport minister Nitin Gadkari said the project linking Manesar to Dhaula Kuan (70 km) would cost around Rs 3,500 crore.

Inaugurating the ‘Smart Transportation Infra Summit and Expo’ organized by industry body PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Friday, Gadkari said, “The detailed project reports and other preliminary ground and paper work are almost completed and approved. The Metro Mail project will cost Rs 50 crore a km against Rs 250 crore per km cost of Metro rail. More info
