Karnataka CM Discusses Pending Railway Projects with Suresh Prabhu

BENGALURU: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah discussed several pending railway projects with Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu in Delhi on Thursday and expressed confidence that the Bengaluru-Mysuru track-doubling work will be completed soon and will be operational by January.

The work was delayed for several years due to land acquisition issues and shifting of Tipu Sultan’s armoury at Srirangapatna.

Speaking to reporters, the CM said that the minister assured of expediting the ongoing track doubling work. The CM said that he discussed the deadlock in the Hubballi-Ankola railway line project and commencing sub-urban trains in Bengaluru.  More info
