IRCTC Launches Bharat Darshan Tourist Train

BENGALURU: A train named Bharat Darshan Tourist Train, which covers popular tourist destinations like Goa, Pushkar, Jaipur, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi and Agra, has been launched by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

The 12-day tour, which costs `9,900 per person, will begin on April 11 and conclude on April 22. The package, called ‘Historical India’, includes a train journey by sleeper class, accommodation in non-AC halls and vegetarian food, said P Sam Joseph, Manager of Tourism, IRCTC, in a press release.

The boarding points for the train are Bengaluru, Arsikere, Davangere and Hubballi.

Shirdi Package

More trips are being undertaken in the Shirdi domestic tour package by air, launched a month ago. Group departures (17 per group) to Shirdi are being planned for April 12, April 19 and April 24. The three night/two day package includes visits to the temples of Shirdi Saibaba, Shani Shignapur, Trimbakeshwar and Panchavati. The package costs `11,542 per person on twin-sharing basis.

Goan Delights

A group tour for 20 passengers to Goa too has been planned for April 11 and May 9. The package includes visits to North Goa and South Goa and a boat cruise on Mandovi river. It is priced at `11,779 per person on twin-sharing basis.

‘Goan Delights’ includes Bengaluru-Goa round-trip air tickets, A/C accommodation for three nights in North Goa, breakfast and dinner, airport transport, sightseeing by mini vehicles and travel insurance.
