Indian Railways : Sukhmangalam Yatra Special Tourist Train

The Sukhmangalam Yatra Special Tourist Train departed today from Yesvantpur, Bangalore for a 10-day tour covering historical and pilgrimage destinations across Karnataka and Maharashtra.

The places covered are Bijapur, Solapur, Pandharpur, Aurangabad, Shirdi, Badami and Hampi.

The special train consists of 13 LHB coaches – 7 sleeper, two 3-tier AC, one 2-tier AC, a pantry car and two power cars. It has a carrying capacity of around 700 tourists.The pantry car will provide vegetarian food for tourists. Meant only for tourists, the train will have tour escorts, a security and public address system in each coach.
