KOLKATA: Howrah railway station is all set to get a swanky sainik rest house in two months.

Station commander of Kolkata Garrison Major General Harsha Kakar inspected the movement control office at Howrah station on Tuesday and expressed satisfaction over the progress of the modernization project of the military rest room.

From tanks, armoured personnel carriers and trucks to artillery pieces, the military moves nearly all its equipment by rail. The Indian Railways also move lakhs of soldiers and their dependents every year.
